The Power of Aromatherapy and Essential Oils

Tuesday, March 19, 7:00p.m. Mount Olivet Cemetery

Liz Schmitt, Director of Spa 400 Invision Health, along with an aromatherapy and essential oils expert, will give a presentation and demonstration on the healing benefits of aromatherapy and essential Oils. Using essential oils can help with the emotions and the grieving process. During this presentation participants will learn about and sample essential oils and experience how essential oils may be helpful in their daily lives. Learn how essential oils are produced and about how they can improve your health and well-being. Some benefits include: assisting with relaxation and sleep, managing inflammation, relieving pain, boosting the immune system, healing skin irritations and decreasing anxiety.

 

Dream Interpretation

Michelle Marabella, LMHC is a licensed counselor who will discuss dreams and grief. She will look at the spiritual evidence of dreams. The focus will be on dreams as a form of storytelling. Dreams help reconcile our loss and bring about hope and peace for those grieving.

 

Massage Therapy and Grief

Tuesday, May 7, 7:00p.m. Mount Olivet Cemetery

Liz Schmitt, Director of Spa 400 of Invision Health, and massage therapists, will give a presentation and demonstration on Grief Massage Therapy. Special chairs will be brought in for the presentation. As an added benefit you will have the opportunity to try a neck and shoulder or hand massage from a licensed professional.

Grief massage therapy can be very beneficial for those who have experienced a loss. When you have suffered a loss of a loved one or are grieving over a change in your life, massage can assist in helping you find peace and balance. The body holds on to past trauma, stress and anxiety.  This presentation will help you to understand the benefits of massage during the grieving process. Massage therapy helps to relax the whole person by pinpointing stressors. Experience how grief massage may be helpful to you.

Michelle Marabella, LMHC is a licensed counselor who specializes in anxiety disorders. Michelle will discuss anxiety and grief theories, triggers, and symptoms and present coping strategies and techniques.

 

Healthy Rhythms: Drum Circle with Carolyn Zimmerman
