Cemeteries are very much about the living and those left behind, and during the Holiday Season that connection is most likely at one of its strongest.
Catholic Cemeteries, over the years, has been devoted to establishing services to help in bereavement throughout the year, including masses held at our cemeteries and lecture series held two times a month (see our Event Calendar for details). There is always something new, and there are always new perspectives so that we never have to grieve alone.
Listen to Marianne Hubert, Director of Grief Support, on WBEN "Buffalo Means Business" as she explains the variety of bereavement services that are provided, and how helpful and uplifting they can be to those in need.
Bringing that beautiful light into the Christmas season is our Candlelight Remembrance Services at Mount Olivet Cemetery and at Holy Cross Cemetery. These two masses, filled with healing words and wonderful seasonal music, have become an important part of many people's Holiday experience. Especially, the hanging of personalized ornaments on the Christmas Tree within the mausoleum.
The memories of our loved ones are a precious gift.
Catholic Cemeteries continues to celebrate that each and every month—of every year.
